ResellerZoom Customer Support - Argh !
I had good impression of Resellerzoom from WHT but from the last 2 days experience, I have to change that. I don’t know if I am the only guy or if the support responds like this for others too. But ResellerZoom’s customer support sucks.
Before buying the B1 account, I asked the sales if they will move my website from current host to RZ, here is what they said
We will trasnfer the account for free, we will try and take minimum downtime as possible.
Now after I bought the account, I asked them the procedure transfer it i.e whom to give username/password etc. Here is what they said.
We can transfer up to 30 accounts free of charge. Every other transferred account will cost 0.50 USD. However, we do not provide any guarantee that the information will be 100% moved and all accounts will be fully operational after the move.
Now I wonder why they did not tell me all this before buying :/ , we’ll that is not the problem here as the moving did not have any probs.
But, After I moved I am having hell lot of problem, can’t access the website, can’t login to WHM or cPanel. Alright, this could be a technical issue. All day I was mailing them trying to get an answer. It’s 24th hour now and I still don’t have a reply from them.
Argh !!!
Many Blog hosts including blogspot banned in India
Freedom of speech, I think blogging falls under that category. But I don’t think Indian Gov. takes it that way. Many blog hosts, most of them free ones including Blogspot, Typepad and Geocities are banned in India.
NyTimes reports,
For reasons yet unexplained by the authorities, the Indian government has apparently directed local Internet service providers to block access to a handful of outlets that host blogs, including the popular blogspot.com. Indian bloggers have reacted with anger and confusion, accusing the government of censorship and demanding to know why their sites have been jammed.
Officials at the Ministry of Communications in India did not return repeated calls, according to the Times report. An official at the ministry’s department of information and technology, Gulshan Rai, told the Times he was aware of ‘two pages’ that had been blocked for spreading what he called ‘antinational sentiments,’ but was unable to provide details.
But Deep says DOT had sent a 22 page list of ‘to be blocked’ sites to ISPs and some of the lazy ass ISPs blocked the whole domains instead of spending time and blocking each and every sub domain mentioned in the list.

Lamborghini rolls out Gallardo and Murcielago in India
From the day I played Need for speed in my teens, I am a huge fan of Lamborghini. Believe it or not they rolled out their two super cars Gallardo and Murcielago in New Delhi on Frday ! Lamborghini president and CEO Stephan Winkelmann told PTI that the company had already sold six cars ( No I did not buy it ^_^ ) in India and hoped to sell 10 by this year end.
While the Gallardo will sport a price tag of 1.65 crore, the Gallardo Spyder will cost Rs 1.85 crore. However, the Murcielago will be the hottest wheel carrying a hefty tag of Rs 3 crore. Perhaps Anil should have bought this one

Do the Script update. Now!
That’s a lesson God is trying to teach me from last few months. Being lazy, I show the laziness in updating my scripts too
, even if it just involves 2-3 clicks in cPanel. Well, Someone had tried to modify some areas in sreejith.net’s wordpress database, though now I have sorted out the two small modifications he had made. I was on Wordpress 2.0 when the DB was attacked.
The guy had changed the title of this blog and changed a category name to a script URL which was a bit of problem as it used to redirect to a HTML page on his site whenever I reach the WP admin category page, I had to go into phpMyAdmin inorder to replace it with the default category name. It looks fine now
.
A similar thing happened to me few months earlier when the vBulletin 3.5.2 at indianwebdevs got into the same situation of file modification, someone had changed the index.php to show a “hacked by ..” message. The nice guys at vB support quickly recovered it and the forum was working fine.
So all you readers, Keep your scripts updated and DB’s backed up
and you hackers .. Bring it on !
Mumbai Blasts : 07/11 2006 | A sad day
I saw one of my friend’s status message that there were blasts in mumbai, first I thought it was some small blast that happened few months earlier in New Delhi. But alas ! when i turned on the news channels, almost 135 innocent people were killed and hundreds injured in seven bomb explosions at railway stations and on trains.
