I’ve never stayed at a place for more than 3 years, there are goods and bads in this. You get to visit different places, not just a 10 day tour where you see just what the people show you, but the real place, real people ! Its really hard to leave a place especially if you have many friends there, you get attached to the place. Imagine, you’re just getting to know people, have a bunch of good loving friends and all of a sudden you’re told that you can’t meet them anymore. Its sad real sad .

Three years ago when I came from Ambala to Kannur, I hated this place and I missed Ambala so much that I was thinking to move back there and kind of settle in my friends house or a find a hostel, but that never made sense. It was totally different here in kannur, like any North Indian might feel, I felt kind of away from what I am used to. You can’t speak in hindi to local people. Not that I don’t know malayalam, its their laugh, you speak to a person and the first response you will get is “You are not a malayali, are you ? ” , I just laugh it off but I try to talk better next time. If you are not malayali and you don’t speak malayalam its fine, but if you are one and still you can’t speak your own language properly, it can get embarrassing sometimes.

But .. now
Man I love this place ! its a tourist spot. First of all it has some of the best beaches. You feel bored and you can find a lonely beach where you can drive in or take cruise on your bike with your friend.
Now, I am a local ! I speak the language like any other local, I know the place very well, i can take you for drive and you’ll thank me for rest of your life. Thats it !

Well, yesterday two of my blogs got hacked by some %#@ f%$#%$#@ , There was a security update for wordpress a week ago and I could not update it sooner. My blogs Autopundit.com and xcuze.com got cracked. I had not taken any backup as both were fresh, autopundit.com a month old and the 2 day old xcuze.

So all new kids out there, Backup your database every week, in fact after every post and if you are on wordpress 2.1 right now, then consider upgrading to 2.1.1 . I guess I should subscribe to their latest news email alert now.
Wordpress is following the same path of any popular software, like Firefox,

They create a nice software, It gets popular, then they release an update every few weeks.

Update : They released 2.1.2
