The Restoration

One of my good friend and a client of mine, Venkat, asks me about my websites redesign about everytime we meet, which is once in a month or so. Well, all this while I didn’t give much though to it but recently as I was looking through some other design websites and realized how cool they are and how old mine are :/ As a matter of fact, I haven’t designed a wordpress theme for free download from last year, the latest theme release was in Feb 17, 2006, and it wasn’t even mine completely, it was a port. Now, if I look into my last year, I have been just doing custom designs and all of my websites are sitting there crying out loud for a new dress. So, literally, I’ve been beautifying other peoples house sitting in a dump yard (well not exactly, a messy room may be ;) ).

So, I’ve decided, starting from today, March 31st ‘08, I am going to start a restoration project. I am going to redesign (fix some) all of my websites. As, “Sreejith.Net” still looks good to me, I am going to keep it for last.

Well, not many, but few keralites I know who blogs are Archana, Srijith (Srijit.info), Praveen (Angry-indian.com)

Know some bloggers? Link love them from your blog and let them know about the blog camp! And if you want to add yourself to the list here.

Asianet Dataline Broadband loosing its charm

Asianet Dataline Broadband loosing its charmI don’t want to sound like someone who is not happy with any kind of service they get but you can imagine my frustration once you read the post.

I’ve been using Asianet Broadband from last one year now, an unlimited connection which shares the line with Asianet Cable (TV/Set Top Box). I was happy with it till Jan 2008 end. If I recall it correctly, it was Jan 30, when a main cable broke in the Mediterranean and many (if not all) of the country’s internet was affected. Before knowing about the ’cause I had called them up, at first which I thought was their silly excuse. But after the day, I did not call ‘em as I knew the reason. The connection was not up for around 4-5 days although all major providers like Indicom had restored their services within 2 days. When the connection started working, it was extremely slow, but I still didn’t bother to call thinking of it as an after effect or something. It was back up on full speed after 2-3 days.

But that does not end there, Read more…
