Sreejith’s NETwork

Well, yesterday two of my blogs got hacked by some %#@ f%$#%$#@ , There was a security update for wordpress a week ago and I could not update it sooner. My blogs Autopundit.com and xcuze.com got cracked. I had not taken any backup as both were fresh, autopundit.com a month old and the 2 day old xcuze.

So all new kids out there, Backup your database every week, in fact after every post and if you are on wordpress 2.1 right now, then consider upgrading to 2.1.1 . I guess I should subscribe to their latest news email alert now.
Wordpress is following the same path of any popular software, like Firefox,

They create a nice software, It gets popular, then they release an update every few weeks.

Update : They released 2.1.2

Atlast ! Google updated its datacenters for pagerank and now five of my websites has a pagerank of Six ! Its better than the last update. The pagerank for sr-ultimate.com was expected, but indianwebdevs.com !! damn ! I didn’t even look at it from last six months, lol. Perhaps I should have developed a few more domains by now . Have a look, your blogs/websites pagerank might be better .

Now thats why I love Google .

I recently saw that Jeba has Google PageRank 5 for his site Jeba.in , so checked up mine and Wow ! mine is PR 6. Now it is sort of weird that a site which was banned even during PR update was going on has this much PR . My site Ranking are pretty good for me nowdays.

Sweet eh ?

This domain Sreejith.NET had trouble getting listed in Google from last few months. I think someone had registred this domain few years back and might have got banned and dropped this domain. I had reffered many SEO sites and forums on this issue, did this and that with no luck. At last I just sent a mail to Google Support and 3 days later I recieved a mail that the issue has been transffered to Technical department. Today , just after 2 days, thanks to them its listed fourth for my name “Sreejith” . Ofcourse first result is also my other site .

Now, do you see those guys links, the third and the fourth results ? they are there just because of the domain’s csa.iisc.ernet.in and iwr.uni-heidelberg.de .Just because the domains are of educational institution the are given higher priority. I am into SEO last 2 years and suddenly 2 persons appear out of nowhere and get listed in the 1’st position .

But one thing, Google guys do read our mails .

I finished the project of the iTauro : Web Hosting and Domain Blog , even got three nice souls ready to blog. The best part is the theme try resizing the window to 800×600 between 1024×768 , the site resizes based upon the width of the browser window using javascript .

I was planning to move GFXedit.com to Wordpress from Joomla, It all went fine :). All URLS (permalinks) working as fine and thanks to that I don’t have to bother about the incoming links to the themes.
