Muslim weds Hindu, VHP calls bandh

Vadodara, December 19: Bollywood star Fardeen Khan’s inter-religion marriage with Natasha Madhvani may not have created any ripple, but a Muslim boy marrying a Hindu girl in the small town of Karjan has raised the hackles of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP). The saffron brigade has now called Karjan bandh on Monday.

Google Says : HuG !

This is funny blog entry from Google. It’s about stress and some good advice on how to control youself. Quite contradictary to have Google posting something about health I know but useful nevertheles.

Hugging for 20 seconds has been shown to reduce blood pressure.

Obviously if you’re a Greenpeace tree hugger this doesn’t apply :P

Adsense Firefox toolbar referals opened up for international users

Ah atlast it opened up for international users. Google Adsense now offers Firefox toolbar referrals along it’s adsense referrals option. When a user downloads and installs Firefox through your referral, Adsense will credit your account with up to $1.00 . This was only available to US customers but now is open for all :) .

Paint.NET A nice free Gimp alternative for Windows

Paint.NET

Paint.NET , is a typical Java applet or application written in .NET managed code with mostly C# and some C++ . With around RAM usage - 60 MB , this GIMP alternative is fairly impressive.

Paint.NET loads much faster than GIMP or Photoshop ,even though it does not contain all the features of GIMP still it is fairly good application. The User Interface is inconsistent with the Windows desktop and feels alien to a Windows user. It offers an extremely intuitive and usable user interface with the transparent toolbars . It is currently maintained as an Open Source project by some of the WSU alumni who started the project and some of them joined Microsoft this year.

he he ! Google moved Google Print to Google Book Search

Why the change? Well, one factor was all the comments we got about how excited people were that Google Print would help them print out their documents, or web pages they visit — which of course it won’t.

Google SiteMap Stats

Soon after Analytics, Google added stats checking to it’s SiteMap program for WebMasters .

Google Sitemaps Blog, you get query stats, crawl stats, Page analysis, index stats, mobile stats and a more detailed errors page.

I guess , knowledge is power. ;)
