Apple iPhone : Dream on ! iPod + Internet + Phone
Thanks to Milind for reminding me about the Macworld 2007 : Steve jobs keynote . I was on engadget from last 2 hours tracking their every announcement waiting for something cool. And they did it ! The iPhone ! Trust me , its going to be a bigger hit than the iPod.
This marvelous thin piece is a 11.6 millimeter device 3.5-inch wide touchscreen display with multi-touch support and a proximity sensor to turn off the sensor when it’s close to your face, 2 megapixel cam, 4GB or 8 GB of storage, Bluetooth with EDR and A2DP, WiFi that automatically engages when in range, and quadband GSM radio with EDGE, RUNS OS X, Apple quotes 5 hours of battery life for talk or video, with a full 16 hours in music mode.
Just one button ! You think it works with a stylus ? No need baby .. fingers will do !!
How much ?? 8 GB will cost 599 USD . Apple will launch it by June 07 in US. Europe in the 4th quarter of this year, Asia in 2008

Amazing stuff. Gonna be my next phone. I’m going to set up a new bank account specifically for the iPhone (sounds a bit kiddish doesn’t it?). Maybe my normal account will do.
I guess I’ll be able to snag one on ebay when its released in the US (unlocked n all…)

Well thats somewhat my plan too but on second thought would the complete touch screen work out that good ? I mean problems might arise like screen getting scratches etc.
Then again .. with those features, who cares ?

dint u read the entire thing on engadget?
it is available only on “contract” with Cingular, which is somewhat like how Reliance and Tata give us CDMA phone, meaning which you get the phone(iPhone, that is..) only with a connection and not as a separate thing…
