You might have seen the popular Mac vs PC ads. Well, here’s a Funny commercial from the South Park Fans, in South Park Style .
All of the Macs vs PC ads agree that Macs are the better brand to buy because they portray the PC side as out of date. Cultural reinforcement, or the use of YouTube videos to uphold beliefs, allows a community to use the brands of Mac and PC to relate to our culture. Through culture reinforcement, an audience relates to the brand of computer they currently own and either felt accepted or rejected to their membership in a collective cultural body of consumers. American culture has become so familiar with both Mac and PC computers and all the commercials that have become so entertaining to watch. The original ad along with almost every version uses criticism of the opposing side to grab the attention of the reader and point out flaws at competition through comparison.
