GFXedit.com to Wordpress

I feel GFXedit.com is not optimized well enough for many factors, loading time, statistics, and the User interface. I am thinking of moving it to wordpress.
The main reasons being ,

  • GFXedit.com, is a website for Wordpress themes.
  • Wordpress makes a much cleaner interface, and I sort of hate tables now.
  • I have more experience with wordpress than joomla.
  • The moving should go fine, as there aint much themes and with wordpress easy permalinks functions making the URL’s like existing joomla one’s won’t be a hard deal.
  • I still couldn’t find a good statistics software for joomla, like the BAstats for wordpress.
  • Countless Wordpess plugins and options.
  • I couldn’t find a possible reason why I should not move :D

What do you all think ?

  1. Hmm..well people say wordpress is the best for blogging, but I’d say it is one of the best scripts for using as a CMS as well. Joomla is very sopisticated and I hate the urls joomla generates while making pages, whereas the permalink option in wordpres is dab good.

Also, as you are designing themes for wordpress it will be good if ur site was also running in wordpress :)

  2. [...] Whoopie ! :d Check out GFXedit.com. I was planning to move GFXedit.com to Wordpress from Joomla, It all went fine . All URLS (permalinks) working as fine and thanks to that I don’t have to bother about the incoming links to the themes. [...]

  4. Sreejith; The layout looks great. I wanted to add more room, though, as I wanted to give more space to hierarchy. But the design is wonderful. Thanks!
