Mumbai Blasts : 07/11 2006 | A sad day

I saw one of my friend’s status message that there were blasts in mumbai, first I thought it was some small blast that happened few months earlier in New Delhi. But alas ! when i turned on the news channels, almost 135 innocent people were killed and hundreds injured in seven bomb explosions at railway stations and on trains.

Mumbai Blasts : 07/11 2006 | A sad day

I think the blasts were targetted to show grudge by some terrorists group. The blast timing was at the evening rush hour when people returned from their work and trains are usually packed with hundreds of daily commuters. The scene as per BBC, is so horifying that the dead have to be left at the scene. Those victims won’t be coming into the hospital now. The focus is on helping the injured.

Really Sad :(

  1. It is not 12/07 it is 7/11 (mm/dd). See any similarities there ? (9/11)?

  5. 1)I Salute the Mumbai People Who actually took step and dared to remove the body from the effected train compartments on that time itself without waiting for any help from police or any body else

  6. Hi Shreejith, I’m just browsing for a new WP theme I can bend to my will and I found this post. My sincere condolences on this tradgedy. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this awful thing. I lived in India for a year more than a decade ago and although I never went to Mumbai (then Bombay) I’ve always considered India my adopted home. Namaste!
