Projectw.org Gone, No more ! - RIP
I’ve decided to close ProjectW down since I don’t have time to run it anymore. It was fun to do 3 years but now the time has come to shut it down. Big thanks to all posters, donators, VIPs and most of all mods and admins. Good luck in the future, GRIZZLY
Yesterday I got a shocking news, a view at projectw.org . Its no more, its gone ! 
. Message was there by Grizzly thanking the members and mods, yesterday. Right now its parked for Sale and sedo. Its said that server required a lot of time, money and of course security.
NOTE : I am getting lot of spam stating “I am new projectw”. Please refrain from posting any links, I guess naming it would be enough.

hi there! I’m also searching for some explanation about the closing down of projectw. it’s really sad, such a huge network and all of a sudden gone.

Sad to hear that pw is gone, but all the staff have migrated to http://warezws.com. So hopefully we see u there.
sad about the projectw story. but i know the real story behind them going down. they have too many errors on their database. and the owner is lazy to reup and correct that big database. we talked to their mods/admins on there irc server. and discussed about working for SimpleZone.net they agreed. and started working for SZ but after about 12 hrs they changed their minds they deleted all the stuffs on SZ. but still alot of PW members have joined SZ and its alive.. and we hope SZ makes the new born PW in the future

Dont go to Simplezone, most ProjectW members, including the whole staff have moved to Warezws.com & are building yet another fine warez-community wich is growing pretty fast. So join us & make ProjectW come back from the dead.

PW was the greatest site i’ve ever visited!
I was very sad when I found out that it has closed, but http://www.warezws.com/ is just like PW (Thank god!) and the layout is the same and there are a lot of PW members there, so I’m happy again =D
Hi guy’s this is TiLt we are back we under a new name and site we decided to join up with WarezWS.com because we had so many members asking us to come back. Yesterday (02/06/07) we had 32000 members today we have 33241 registered users so in just one day we are collecting over 1,000 registrations. ProjectW was the best site EVER! A lot of stuff that was hard to find.
I’ll check out warezws, but I don’t think it will be so great as projectw.

A lot of the members from ProjectW have gone to Warez-BB and they have a whole thread talking about it and meeting the old members.

warezbb is similar but no other sites I have been on are as oranized as pw was.I was a member with them since 2004 and it sucks they are gone but there were forums before them and there will be more after them so we will all survive
I was also shocked to find that projectw.org is no more. I will nonetheless try the warezws.com. It was really a good time being with projectw.org.

Projectw was the best site. Whenever I was online I opened the page. For the poor country like Nepal, where softwares are hard to find and ebooks and other resources are easy to find in projectw. One fine day, it was gone.
Was googling for similar site and found this page. Thanks a lot Sreejith for this page. Got lots of info. Will be surfing the net more. Best of Luck. One day, world will be free.

Yeh, PW was a good site, but there was problems for about a month before it closed down. WarezWS is the new site, and it looks good. Thanks everyone for the info on other sites.

but warezws.com has similar critical error problem.

What’s wrong with the registration system on WarzWS? I keep registering but can’t seem to get a proper activation key. Is there an email address for administrators and SysOps?

iv used projectw a long time now for a large no of e-books on practically every topic imaginable…it had become de rigueur for me to visit the site every time i was online…
its weird, but i think il miss projectw…

warezws.com is the alternative solution - it is better if the domain projectw.org is reclaimed and rebuilt.
i like the name = project for the world (if projectw is meant to be so), cause i saw other like projectvn, projecttr (project for vietnamese, for turkey…).
projectw is a great site as you might get good links w/o thinking much of trojan or malware inside. then, no sex stuff to maintain the site. it is just so good.

could someone please send me a VALID activation key for photoshop cs2 v9.0? i lost mine when my mother put both the activation code and recite threw the shreader before i was able to even able to check the software. thanks a lot and wish the site could still be up i was able to read it 2 times during this school year and it was the bomb..

I was shocked when i read a writeup on http://www.projectw.org and it says that its already gone… I was an active member of this site for more three years and suddenly its closed… it is indeed a sad news for me..but anyway this site really contributed a lot to me..thouhgt me the ins an outs of computing, from standalone pc to networking… thats why i really loved this site.. anway GRIZZLY really did a grat job for making this site and i will always remeber that there was one site where i learned a lot… and that is “www.projectw.org” VIVA to you GRIZZLY and more power

So this means that wbb has about 3 times the number of articles warezws has, but you gotta remember warezbb does not merges articles.
eg: Search for the movie hostel came up with 140 articles… on ws that would be 2.
So if you want dozens of articles to go through till you find a working link, go to wbb, if you want a board wich is clean go to warezws.

ProjectW and Warez-BB were once synonymous, until Revan ‘nicked’ the Warze-BB database and sent Grizzly and his Dutch sidekicks into the void from which ProjectW began… and it was all downhill… dreadful modding and poor website maintenance, even Limneos Net was in better order… heh, and that Adodenhaag Mod was such a tosser, seldom did I ever see a soul so far up their own arse that they’d lost the sight in their eyes… RIP
